The Futures Centre, launched by Forum for the Future in 2014, is an open, participatory futures platform to crowdsource signals and trends, provide in-depth analysis, and enable virtual collaboration to address global challenges. The platform publishes signals and insights, trends, reports, and hosts live research projects addressing specific challenges, inquiries and research topics such as community health systems, plant based innovations, and trajectories from COVID-19.

As their funding partner on Omidyar Network’s Exploration and Future Sensing Team, I supported and advised on the creation, strategy, usability testing, development, and launch of the Futures Centre platform to meeting the following objectives:

1. Upgrade the Futures Centre’s functionality and user experience (UX)

2. Improve its ability to drive system change

3. Grow its potential for developing a global community of contributors and changemakers
